  General
All Hydra capacitors use self-healing, metalized polypropylene film that is highly resistant to impulses and voltage peaks. Microscopic voltage breakdowns normally occur and will have no effect on the operation of the capacitor. The oil-filled capacitors have a built-in pressure-sensitive interrupter which senses internal pressure and electrically opens the capacitor in the event of over-pressure. This opens the capacitor and stops all electrical conduction thus preventing case rupture.
  Motor capacitors in MKP technology with pressure-sensitive interrupter in cylindrical oil filled aluminium case
These capacitors are filled with an environment friendly filling and have an internal pressure-sensitive interrupter which disconnects the capacitor from the grid (motor) in case of failure. They are fire/burst proof tested and approved by a certified VDE test facility according to EN 60252 for safety class P2. They are also UL/CUL approved.
  Motor capacitors in MKP technology in cylindrical resin-filled plastic case (dry version)
These dry Hydra motor capacitors have a plastic case and are completely resin filled. They are fully compliant with EN 60252 for safety class P0 and are UL/CUL approved.
  Capacitors for fluorescent lamps in MKP technology with overpressure interrupter in cylindrical oil filled aluminum case.
These capacitors are filled with an environment friendly filling and have a pressure-sensitive interrupter which disconnects the capacitor from the grid in case of failure. They are fire/burst proof tested and approved by VDE in accordance with European standard EN 61048/49 and UL/CUL approved.
  DC-link capacitors for inverters (wind turbine, solar power, power inverters, UPS) in MKP technology in cylindrical aluminium case
The windings are mounted in a round metal case and completely filled with resin. They have very low self-inductance, low losses, high ripple current ratings and long life expectancy. Due to the high rated DC voltages a series connection of the capacitors (typical for electrolytic capacitors) is not necessary
  Low voltage power factor correction capacitors (3-phase)
These capacitors have a round aluminum case with metal cover and terminal block (IP20). There are 3 separate windings within the case for superior heat transfer. They have an pressure-sensitive interrupter which disconnect the capacitor from the grid in case of failure and are available with oil or gas filling. The capacitors are produced according to EN 60831 and have UL 810 approval (10.000AFC).
